Digital Circuit Design:
Renix Electronics has extensive electronic design experience in Imbedded
Systems Design.
Completed Projects include:
- Single 8-bit / 16-bit Microcontroller designs for Imbedded
applications
- Assembly and C/C++ programming Languages for the Program (Firmware)
design of the Microcontroller
- More complicated designs with combinations of larger
Microprocessors, FPGAs and / or CPLDs on board containing various
Peripheral Modules internal to the FPGA
- VHDL (Very High Speed Integrated Circuit Hardware Description
Language ) is used on most FPGA designs, and is our preferred HDL for
FPGA and other Programmable device program development
- See our FPGA and Programmable
page
for more details on Xilinx FPGA
designs
Analog Circuit Design:
- Renix Electronics has completed many Analog Designs as part of a
deliverable in
most projects, completed as turnkey solutions
- Projects involved Power Supply designs, including small Switched
Mode Power Supply Designs
- Analog to Digital conversion designs and Digital to Analog and Analog conversion designs
- Rectification, Passive filtering, Op-Amp based Active Filters
- Inductive drive electronic circuit design, including the device
protection circuitry. (Snubber Circuits)
Interface and Communications:
- Projects completed include Analog and Digital type interfaces, Pulse
Width Modulation (PWM) techniques
- Serial Interfaces and communication protocols include RS232 /
RS485, I2C, (I Squared C), SPI, LVDS
- Other custom serial and parallel interface designs for UARTs and
Inter device onboard communication, typically as I/O and bus expansion
between a processor and FPGA peripherals or other devices
Microcontrollers, Compiler and Assemblers
- Renix has been involved with Microcontrollers design since the first
Intel 8080 Micros. The list includes
Processors and Controller designs with
Intel 8080/85 / 49, 8031/51, 8088 / 86, including the Philips
derivatives like the EPROM based 87C652
- The
Microchip family of PIC controllers, PIC12 / PIC14000 / PIC16Fxxx
series microcontrollers
The CCS compiler from Custom Computer
Services, Inc. in combination with the
MPLAB Integrated Development Environment (IDE) from
Microchip is used and preferred for
Microchip Controllers
